Bruce Goldberger’s testimonies will influence on decision of court in case against Roger Clemens

Testimonies of the famous toxicologist Bruce Goldberger will probably impact greatly on decision of the court in the case linked with Roger Clemens. Bruce Goldberger is the Professor of Pathology and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This expert testified on behalf of Roger Clemens. However he was invited in order to replace Don Catlin, the director of the WADA UCLA Medicine, Goldberger’s testimonies differed from those which are usually provided by anti-doping organizations. He testified on behalf of the accused baseball player.

Bruce Goldberger claimed that it was impossible to base on “beer can evidence”. He noted that the accusation couldn’t be proven because the theory of contamination could present.
So, Bruce Goldberger didn’t support the affirmations of the feds. Earlier the toxicologist also expressed criticism related to evidence applied by some anti-doping agencies.
Several years ago Bruce Goldberger testified on behalf of Floyd Landis, an American celebrated cyclist, when this sportsperson appealed positives for steroids. A WADA-accredited lab situated in France discovered traces of exogenous testosterone; T: E ratio and carbon isotope ratio tests were used by the lab. Goldberger expressed similar words and criticism during the appeal connected with Floyd Landis.
Bruce Goldberger claimed during an interview that the WADA used inadequate methods and violated rights of athletes in order to achieve the success in anti-doping programs.
