Coaches will be probably blamed for rhabdomyolsis in certain football players

Over 10 players of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team were taken in hospital because of  rhabdomyolsis. This is a disease connected with fast destruction of skeletal muscle that results in leakage into urine the muscle protein myoglobin. People with this condition suffer from severe muscle pains, weakness and soreness. Since byproducts of the muscle damage become toxic to the kidneys, there is an increased risk of kidney failure in this case.
Specialists began immediately to blame nephrotoxic supplements or anabolic steroids in occurring of rhabdomyolsis in players of the Hawkeyes but there was no any  link between these drugs and this disease in them. James Williams, a physician, told to CBS during an interview that nephrotoxic supplements had to be blamed for the condition in these football players. He confirmed that individuals had dehydration, when their muscles became broken due to hard trainings. When supplements are administrated in such situations, they are turned to be toxic to kidneys directly, according to James William. He added that this condition led to rhabdomyolsis.
Unluckily, the media didn’t interview real high-qualified specialists. Only so-called specialists were asked by media. That’s why the affirmations were misleading.
It is suggested that Mike Gimbel of a Maryland anti-steroid and anti-supplement organization doesn’t have required knowledge. He just claims that although they do not know how the supplements act in body and whether they lead to any positive effects, these products are very dangerous for health.
Nevertheless, some facts showed that anabolic steroids were not responsible for rhabdomyolsis of the football players. These persons submitted to tests for banned products and they tested negative. Furthermore, a specialist has studied and shown that there was no any link between muscle disorders and anabolic steroids or HGH. Richard J. Auchus, a specialist on steroid metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, confirms that gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid is the only product that could cause rhabdomyolsis. Sometimes this medicine is applied for anabolic effects too. This is an illegal drug. Certain specialists like Auchus, a consultant of the U. S. Anti-Doping Agency, consider that no any substance is to be demonized for this disease of these football players. He claims that the muscle disorder is caused by extremely hard training to which the coaches pushed the sportspersons.
The coach Chris Doyle will be probably blamed for rhabodomyolsis of the football players, if steroids or other supplements will be not turned to be the reasons of the disease. Who knows? Even sport in itself is associated with certain risks.

Wrong perception of many persons about the Pittsburgh Steelers and steroids

When it is announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers intend to play, reporters seem to be responsible to write about their relations with steroids. They try to create a steroid scandal and to find any probable links of this team with it.
Mike Fish of ESPN displayed the same attitude, when the Steelers competed in the 2009 Super Bowl.  Thisjournalist turned to be lucky in writing news connected with this football team and steroids.
However sportswriters are not always lucky, when it comes to connections of a team or an athlete with performance-enhancing drugs before a competition, the situation is altered, if it is said about the Steelers. Reporters prefer writing about their history, about the lesson related to anabolic steroids which took place in 1970s.
David Fleming wrote about historical lessons of the Steelers before a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. This sportswriter reported about time, when the NFL hadn’t yet forbidden intake of steroids. So, according to certain sources, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ players applied steroids in the late 1970s. It is noted in the 1991 book “False Glory: The Steve Courson Story” that more than 70 % of the offensive linemen of the Steelers  took steroids.
It must have been true but you should understand that administration of steroids was not prohibited. Why are the Pittsburgh Steelers condemned, if application of steroids was permitted?
Jim Haslett told the New Orleans Saints that the Pittsburgh Steelers had won numerous times in 1970s and in 1980s because of steroids. According to this trainer, the football players of the team became much stronger due to steroids.
But it is necessary to be cautious here. The Steelers were not the first football team that used steroids and other preparations which have performance-enhancing effects. There were other professional football teams that utilized steroids even in well-organized way.
Matt Chaneygave the better explanation related to application of steroids in football. He noticed in his book “The Spiral of Denial: Muscle Doping in American football” that the Pittsburgh Steelers hadn’t to be blamed for the steroid revolution in football. There was another team that was responsible for this aspect. The San Diego Charges used steroids before the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1960s.
Although the Steelers took steroids in 1970s, it is impossible to suggest that they won due to steroids. There were also players of other teams who took these preparations as well. Nevertheless, the Steelers were successful!

Several specialists have defined that Trenbolone has some priorities over testosterone

Trenbolone is an anabolic steroid which is used in bodybuilding for many years. Unluckily, this medicine has never been claimed to be  a good medication for therapeutic needs. It isn’t approved for human use by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Trenbolone has been blamed many times by media. Many articles have announced that this drug is quite  dangerous. But recent studies have shown opposite facts. It is believed that common attitude to this product can be soon  changed. Joshua Yarrow and his colleagues from the University of  Florida claim that this medicine can be taken as testosterone for hormone replacement therapy.  They are sure that it is an excellent alternative medicine to testosterone for the need mentioned above. Results of researches led by these experts have been published in the American Journal of Physiology – Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Moreover, the specialists report that trenbolone enanthate has even some priorities over testosterone for some patients. Bodybuilders  know and support the statements related to this drug. It is known that testosterone aromatases. As for trenbolone, it is converted neither to estradiol, nor to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). That’s why trenbolone doesn’t cause unexpected reactions linked with estrogen and DHT.
Yarrow  reports about the studies conducted by him and his colleagues. Castrated rats have been given trenbolone enanthate.  Even reduced quantities of this product have induced their muscle mass and kept bone mineral density. There have not been observed such side symptoms, as enlargement of prostate or polycythemia in these lab rats.
But too induced quantities of testosterone enanthate were required to cause the same anabolic effects in muscles as were produced by low doses of trenbolone enanthate. But such undesirable symptoms, as prostate enlargement and enhanced hemoglobin accompanied the increased quantities of testosterone enanthate. It is supposed by the researchers that trenbolone acts like selective androgen receptor modulators, causing anabolic effects in muscles and bones without androgenic undesirable results.
Professional competitive bodybuilders like administrating trenbolone some weeks before competitions because it promotes fat loss. Furthermore, the researches have displayed that the same quantities of trenbolone have stronger lipolytic effects than those of testosterone. It has been detected that more trenbolone an individual uses, the greater the fat loss is caused.
Since trenbolone lacks aromatization, it is commonly combined with such steroids, as testosterone, Dianabol or with another aromatizable steroid. The lack of aromatization makes trenbolone unable to be taken alone for hormone replacement therapy. The non-aromatizable property of this drug is responsible for just partial protection of bones.
Nevertheless, it is possible to make conclusion that additional studies are required in order to apply trenbolone for hormone replacement therapy.

However defense of Alberto Contador is likely to be plausible, many skeptic persons do not believe him

The professional cyclist Alberto Contador that won the 2010 Tour de France tested positive for Clenbuterol. Amounts of this substance in his body were very small. They were 40 times less than its minimum standard of the detection capacity. But the World Anti-Doping Agency lacks tolerance completely when it comes to this medication. Any quantity of this preparation uncovered in a sportsperson’s body leads to ban.
Alberto Contador proclaims that the positive for Clenbuterol is caused by meat contaminated with this substance. Many experts believe him, since the amount uncovered in his urine are very small.   Neveretheless, Alberto Contadorwas banned.
Douwe de Boer, anti-doping expert of Contador’s defense team, proclaims that he becomes disappointed in decisions of the WADA day by day. He notices that he seems as if the WADA enjoyed to ban innocent athletes but not to detect cheaters.
Zhao Jian of China’s Anti-Doping Agency proclaims that a person may test positive from contaminated meat. It isn’t just anyone’s point of view. This affirmation has scientific basis. The expert Detlef Thieme from Germany supports this statement too.  He points out that nobody can doubt about it.
The expert Wilhelm Schaenzer of the Laboratory for Doping Analysis from Germany notices that it is a real problem that they are not able to investigate and determine doping clearly.
According to anti-doping researches conducted in Cologne, it is more likely to detect Clenbuterol from contaminated meat than from intentional intake of this drug for athletic purposes.
China’s National Anti-Doping Laboratory reports that experiments conducted by them have shown that consumption of pork meat containing Clenbuterol may cause positives for this substance.
But there are skeptic people who assure that the cyclist Alberto contador has used forbidden medications.
Skeptic attitude to Alberto Contadot can be explained by the condition that use of EPO, anabolic steroids, HGH and other products which cause performance-enhancing effects is widespread in cycling. The former cyclists Floyd Landis and Bernhard Kohl that have been caught by the WADA claim that all cyclists use performance-enhancing drugs. Patrick Arnold, a chemist has the same opinion.

Since some sportspersons violate steroid laws, others suffer together with them

Anti-doping agencies do not act fairly in certain cases. While certain sportspersons violate anti-doping rules, the whole teams receive suspensions. Thus, sportspersons that do not lie are suspended together with liars. Don’t you think that it is  unfair? Why should good sportspersons be kept from making their hopes and dreams real, if other individuals cheat?
The Waterloo football program was shut down for a year. It was due to results of an investigation.  Everything began because of a bust of a player that was caught having many  vials of anabolic steroids and HGH. It led to many investigations conducted in Canadian colleges. The investigations were conducted by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.
An investigation showed eight positives of the Waterloo football players. The positives caused the decision to suspend the whole team for a year.
Unfortunately, innocent players of the Waterloo College were punished together with cheaters who used forbidden performance-enhancing preparations. The football players Matt Vonk and Steve Ples  played at Laurier before the steroid scandal and the suspension. These two football players didn’t administrate steroids. That’s why These football players hadn’t to be suspended.
These two players mada a decision to transfer to another college in order to realize their dreams linked with football. But these two football players received refusal. So, these football players will be kept from playing football the whole year.

Why can’t people trust some journalists that write about steroids?

Since subjects linked with steroids are widely read around the world, a lot of reporters present them even without appropriate knowledge related to these substances. Some reporters are not able even spell names of the products about which they write articles. In case an article’s subject is about a popular steroid taken by various athletes, readers expect to find out about important features and studies connected with this steroid. A journalist who writes about a steroid has to know at least general information connected with it.
Unluckily, you may come across significant lack of knowledge, when you read pieces of news connected with steroids. For example, the reporter Matthew Kelly has written an article about Nandrolone Decanoate which was published in the Newcastle Herald newspaper. It is known that the trade name of this medicine is quite popular. Athletes frequently call it shortly: they name it just Deca instead of Deca Durabolin.  The name  “Deca Durabolin” has been applied for over 50 years. But the reporter of the Newcastle Herald has done mistakes even in the name of this well-known steroid. This journalist has written it following: Decca Duarbulon. Could you trust this reporter? Could you be sure that the other statements which are presented by this reporter  are correct, if he can’t even write the name of the medication correctly? Moreover, it is not the only example of ignorance  about the things he writes. The Newcastle Herald seems to lack studies related to steroids. Kelly asks the local trainer to support his confirmation about steroids that is following: black market of anabolic steroids is full of young sportsmen that look for drugs that have performance-enhancing effects to build muscled bodies. Since it must be true, the trainer can’t support the affirmation because he knows just the aspects he has been said. He can’t report anything really because he is not involved in this problem directly.
Another lack of researches is shown in the Newcastle Herald’s description of the methods to detect users of steroids. It is written that if a person has muscled arms but not chest or  a massive chest and not arms, he\she is steroid user. This is the “depth” of studies presented by the Newcastle Herald.
