Lance Armstrong’s case shows that sports is never clean

Lance Armstrong was denying doping for years. Although he was accused of administering prohibited medications many times, he continued to claim that he never administered prohibited medications. Even when the USADA proved that the cyclist doped, he cheated about doping. But ultimately, Lance Armstrong decided to admit to applying EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions.
However a lot of sportspersons applied performance-enhancing drugs and avoided detection successfully, there was anything uncommon in the doping case of Lance Armstrong. Lance Armstrong reached great success in sports. He won 7 Tour de France titles. He acquired also some other awards. Lance Armstrong obtained worldwide success. However he submitted to many drug tests, he never tested positive for any prohibited preparation.
Of course, Lance Armstrong is not the only sportsman who has doped. Sportspersons have taken prohibited products during past years. They continue to apply steroids and other related products nowadays. And professional sportspersons will use them in future. Administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs is spread in professional sports. Almost every sportsperson administers prohibited medicines. While certain sportspersons test positive for forbidden products and get suspensions, others are not caught.
When it comes to the attitude to Lance Armstrong’s doping, it’s mainly negative. Thousands persons got great anger, when the legendary cyclist admitted to applying EPO, the steroid testosterone and blood transfusions. Thousands individuals believed in him. They thought that Lance Armstrong competed “cleanly”. That’s why their disappointment was essential.
And what is about “clean” sports? Anti-doping agencies should ponder over this issue. While anti-doping officers claim that they have sophisticated tests to eradicate doping from sports, numerous sportspersons apply steroids and/or other related medicines and avoid detection.
While Lance Armstrong has admitted to administering prohibited drugs, anti-doping agencies should realize that their programs are inappropriate.

Almost each professional athlete dopes

Przemyslaw Saleta’s attitude to Lance Armstrong’s doping differs from that of thousands persons. The polish boxer doesn’t condemn the cyclist. Przemyslaw Saleta notices that Lance Armstrong has acted like almost every professional sportsman. The 7-time Tour de France winner has used prohibited medicines and cheated about his doping. Nothing is surprising. Almost every sportsperson administers anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
While a lot of sportspersons that apply prohibited medicines are caught by anti-doping officials and sentenced to suspensions, Lance Armstrong has never tested positive for any banned medicine. He could avoid detection, despites of having been subjected to thousands drug tests. Of course, It goes without saying that Lance Armstrong is not the only athlete who has avoided detection successfully. Let take Chinese sportspersons as an example! They are sponsored by the state. The state provides money enough to acquire such preparations which are undetectable. Thus, many Chinese athletes use performance-enhancing drugs without being detected. It becomes evident that athletes that have much money may use performance-enhancing drugs and avoid detection. Lance Armstrong is just one of such athletes.
Przemyslaw Saleta has an uncommon proposal. He believes that steroids and other related preparations should be legalized in professional sports. According to this sportsman, steroids and other doping products are not dangerous for health, if they are applied by adults that possess sufficient knowledge about ways to consume them correctly. Przemyslaw Saleta claims that administration of steroids and other related medicines by sportspersons should be monitored by health care providers. Thus, athletes are likely to prevent severe negative reactions.
Furthermore, Przemyslaw Saleta claims that anabolic steroids and other related products are indispensible in such sports, as cycling. Cycling is a sport where athletes should endure very extreme conditions while training and competing. Thus, steroids and other related medications help cyclists to keep health in better conditions. Cycling in itself is dangerous without anabolic steroids and other related drugs.
But Przemyslaw Saleta warns that steroids and other related medications should be forbidden in amateur sports. Moreover, young sportspersons must not be also permitted to take these medications because they may cause serious harm in them. Teenagers must not apply such preparations because they may suffer from grave side consequences.
Nevertheless, Przemyslaw Saleta notes that it is wrong to think that steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs represent the key to success. According to him, success is a result of hard working.

Numerous compounding pharmacies violate laws and avoid serious penalties

Thousands drug manufacturers violate laws. But only some of them are sanctioned properly. Many drug manufacturers avoid serious sanctions without significant efforts. But only when serious scandals result from illegal actions of compounding pharmacies, they are sentenced to appropriate sanctions. For example, anyone is aware of the meningitis outbreak which has spread across the country because of contaminated steroid injections produced by a Massachusetts compounding center. Undoubtedly, owners and officials of the company will be punished harshly. But when illegal operations of compounding pharmacies don’t lead to such serious troubles, they continue with their business successfully.
Journalists report about illegal actions linked with anabolic steroids, painkillers and other prescription medicines daily. But you may notice that compounding pharmacies get only insignificant sentencing for illicit sale of anabolic steroids and other doping products. So, athletes and bodybuilders have free access to doping products. They acquire steroids and other related products from pharmaceutical companies and take them for athletic needs. Moreover, certain compounding pharmacies provide fake prescriptions for anabolic-androgenic steroids. Corrupt doctors supply customers of pharmacies with prescriptions which are given without required evaluation of customers’ personal conditions.
Drug manufacturers are responsible not only for illicit distribution of anabolic steroids. Some pharmaceutical companies manufacture drugs in unsterile conditions. As a result, many persons get contaminated medicines and suffer from grave complications, administering  these products. Certain individuals even die from contamination caused by usage of contaminated drugs. As you are probably informed, 39 individuals died because of fungal meningitis caused by tainted methylprednisolone acetate injections.
The recent contamination with fungal meningitis should influence on decisions of proper authorities. Criminal penalties should take place. Otherwise, health of thousands individuals is in a serious danger. Prescription medications must be sold only under real prescriptions. All medicines must be produced in sterile conditions. If drug manufacturers don’t obey all laws, they must be sanctioned. They must not be allowed to continue with business, if they violate laws. Forfeiture of licenses should be accompanied by other serious penalties.

Steroids caused testicular cancer in legendary American cyclist

Although the ashamed American cyclist Lance Armstrong has already forfeited his Tour de France titles and other awards, his steroid scandal is still widely discussed. Numerous indidivuals are still expressing their attitudes to this case. Not only his possible application of doping products is disputed but several persons also argue about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer. Why has Lance Armstrong got this health problem in his young years? What has caused this health problem in him?
Whoopi Goldberg, a famous American actress is also involved in discussions related to Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. While she has been chiefly involved in discussions linked with marijuana and other related drugs, now she has chosen to join those that fight against steroids and other related medicines.
According to Whoopi Goldberg, Lance Armstrong has experienced testicular cancer because of steroid use. The actress supposes that steroids are likely to cause cancer. She believes that these preparations may induce appearing and developing cancer. Whoopi Goldberg thinks that specialists should inform people about probable tights between anabolic steroids and cancer. The actress notes that specialists can define whether Lance Armstrong has developed cancer because of steroids.
But what do other celebrated persons think about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer? Bob Weiner, a well-known political commentator, notices that anyone should be very cautious while suggesting that steroids are responsible for development of cancer. This person realizes that these preparations cause many undesirable reactions that are quite dangerous for users’ health and even life. But he adds that it is unusual to demonize anabolic steroids for cancer. Such statements are serious. Bob Weiner believes that this issue has nothing to do with anti-doping morality.
Nonetheless, Bob Weiner is inclined to believe that Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer has been caused by steroids. This illness usually doesn’t trouble young men. Why then has Lance Armstrong got it? Since scientific literature supposes that links between cancer and steroid misuse may exist, Bob Weiner doesn’t deny affirmations of Whoopi Goldberg.
But as it has been already noted, this issue is not included in those of anti-doping programs. Anti-doping officials focus on morality and they don’t care about protection of sportspersons’ health.

Illegal activities of drug manufacturers

Drug manufacturers are inclined to illegal activities. Many pharmacies manufacture and sell counterfeit products. As a result, consumers don’t acquire desired effects. Moreover, fake drugs may cause serious unusual unwanted reactions in consumers. In addition to these illegal operations, drug manufacturers also sell prescription preparations illegally. Anabolic steroids, HGH, painkillers and other medicines are sold without any prescription. Thus, many individuals administer these preparations for non-therapeutic purposes. Anabolic-androgenic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs are widely taken for bodybuilding goals. Athletes and bodybuilders purchase and administer these drugs in order to increase muscle mass and get strength. Many persons want to be more muscular and combat tiredness during workouts and competitions. That’s why they choose to take steroids and other doping products. Several other persons try to look more beautiful/handsome. So, they use several prescription preparations for anti-aging purposes.
Anabolic-androgenic steroids, HGH and other doping products are widely sold at online store. Some companies even hire corrupt physicians who supply users with proper prescriptions. These doctors provide prescriptions without suitable evaluation of clients and even without seeing them. Acquiring prescriptions, thousands individuals purchase anabolic steroids and other related preparations and apply them for non-clinical goals.
However distribution and intake of steroids for non-therapeutic needs are prohibited under laws of numerous countries, many pharmacies avoid punishment successfully. While certain companies and persons are found guilty of illegal activities related to medications, they are rarely punished appropriately. Furthermore, they continue to manufacture and distribute steroids illegally.
Another problem connected with illegal manufacture and distribution of anabolic steroids and other related medicines is following: certain pharmacies produce medicines in unsterile conditions. Thus, persons that take such medications may be contaminated with some illnesses. Sometimes contamination with a dangerous illness may be fatal for some users. The meningitis outbreak which has recently occurred in the USA is widely discussed around the world. 39 individuals died because they administered tainted steroid injections. So, proper officials should control manufacture of drugs. If safety is not at the highest level, health of consumers is in a great danger.

NECC had to be sanctioned earlier

In 2003 the FDA designed to close the New England Compounding Center (NECC) which last year caused the meningitis outbreak in some states of America. The company produced contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections. Over 400 persons who applied the tainted steroid injections got fungal meningitis. This disease turned out to be tragic for 39 persons.
According to a late report published by the House of Energy and Commerce Committee, the meningitis outbreak could have been prevented. The report presented many cases linked with the Massachusetts pharmacy that should have been shut down by the FDA earlier.
The FDA claimed in 2003 that the Massachusetts pharmacy should not have produced preparations till improving of the situation. But finally the FDA didn’t ban manufacture of drugs at the NECC. Since the NECC was claimed to be a pharmacy, it should have been monitored by Massachusetts officials. Thus, the FDA let Massachusetts colleagues to resolve the problem. As for Massachusetts officials, they didn’t ban manufacture of medicines immediately. The NECC continued to produce drugs. Just Barry Cadden, the owner of the pharmacy, received reprimand.
Furthermore, the Massachusetts pharmacy was accused of certain illicit activities. The company acted improperly under its license. Being a pharmacy, the NECC acted as a manufacturer and shipped thousands dosages of preparations to hospitals and individual patients.
In 2002 certain persons got unusual adverse results after they had used bethamethasone injections produced by the NECC.
Later certain persons who administered methylprednisolone acetate injections produced by the Massachusetts pharmacy were contaminated with bacterial meningitis. Since these individuals received complete recovery because of treatment with antibiotics, the case was forgotten. The Massachusetts pharmacy was not punished for the tainted drugs.
These and even several other cases manifest that the Massachusetts pharmacy should have punished earlier. The Compounding Center should have been closed for its illicit and improper actions. But the Massachusetts pharmacy was never sentenced to any severe penalties. As a result, the company continued to manufacture medications that were dangerous for consumers’ health. Ultimately, the meningitis outbreak caused by contaminated injections of the NECC spread to several states and sickened numerous individuals. If the company had been shut down earlier, the contamination with deadly fungal meningitis would not have taken place.

FDA’s excuse was not accepted

The meningitis outbreak resulted from tainted steroid injections could have been prevented. But since the FDA didn’t utilize its power for this goal appropriately, more than 500 individuals were contaminated with this disease and 39 recipients of the steroids died.
Tennessee officials turned out to show unbelievable competence under these circumstances. They were praised by legislators for their definite actions.
It was reported that numerous persons that had been given epidural steroid injections produced by the NECC suffered from complications. When Tennessee health officials were informed about this situation, they enforced all health facilities to discontinue utilizing preparations produced by the compounding center from Massachusetts. Furthermore, they informed immediately about contamination health officials of other states. Actions of Tennessee health officials were quick and definite. They acted with no doubts and did everything in order to prevent further contamination and improve help those that were already contaminated with meningitis.
If Tennessee health officials hadn’t been so decisive and competent, more individuals would have been contaminated with fungal meningitis and more deaths would have been.
As for the FDA, it appeared to be incompetent. It didn’t use its authority immediately in order to improve the situation. Then it tried to justify its negligence, noting that its authority was not cleared and established enough to interfere in such large-scale compounding pharmacies, as the NECC. But legislators didn’t accept the FDA’s excuse.
Tennessee health officials merit getting a gold medal for their actions.
However certain persons think that they could avoid contamination, warnings about risks still exist. Many individuals are still at the hospital. Others are visited by health officials. If any side results occur at injection sites of those that have administered the tainted steroids, they should inform doctors at once.

FDA found bacterial contaminants at NECC

It is widely reported about the meningitis outbreak which has occurred in some states of America. Contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections resulted in fungal meningitis in more than 500 persons. The contamination turned out to be tragic for 39 patients: they died. The majority of deaths occurred in Tennessee.
It was determined that contaminated steroid injections had been manufactured by the New England Compounding Center (NECC) that is based in Massachusetts. The FDA tested the compounding center in order to determine what caused contamination and see the situation at the NECC. It was affirmed by the FDA that the contaminated steroid injections were really manufactured by this company.
According to the Associated Press, the FDA reported that it was obvious that preparing of drugs was unsterile at the NECC. The FDA noticed that leaking water and uncontrolled temperature were just certain problems at the pharmacy. The equipment used for preparing of solution for injections was unsterile.
Furthermore, the FDA stated that there were several other contaminants. Several bacterial contaminants were found at the NECC. However these contaminants were not real pathogens, they were capable to lead to infection too. These bacterial contaminants were found in such medicines, as Betamethasone and Triamcinolone. There were not any situations reported about contamination resulted from application of these preparations. But it was noticed that these medicines were also capable to result in contamination. However the bacterial contaminants were anywhere in the environment, they had not to be in drugs. This fact pointed at unsterile conditions at the pharmacy and affirmed that the Methylprednisolone Acetate injections turned out to be contaminated with fungal meningitis because they were produced in inappropriate conditions.
The situation made it clear that new rules on compounding pharmacies should be established. Contamination should be avoided. Otherwise, health of Americans is in danger.

Barry Larkin urges young sportspersons not to dope

The retired MLB player Barry Larkin notes about his negative attitude to athletes that have ever administered anabolic steroids and/or other banned preparations. He thinks that such baseball players who have ever been associated with performance-enhancing drugs must not be elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame. To be elected for the Hall of Fame is the greatest honor that is received by baseball players. Barry Larkin has been introduced in the Hall of Fame last year. He considers that steroid users should not get the greatest honor. They should understand that they have made a serious mistake, when they have made a decision to use anabolic steroids and/or other related remedies. Their decision means that they should be kept out of this club forever.
Barry Larkin belongs to the most successful baseball players. He has won several awards, while playing professional baseball.
Barry Larkin also notes about Pete Rose that is kept out of the Baseball Hall of Fame. This athlete has gambled on baseball games. That’s why he has been suspended from professional baseball for the entire life. So, he doesn’t have any possibility to be introduced to the Hall of Fame. Barry Larkin believes that those that have ever administered prohibited preparations should receive similar suspension. They must not be introduced into the Hall of Fame.
Barry Larkin has played during the steroid era. He doesn’t desire to blame those that have played with and against him. He doesn’t make rash conclusions about other baseball players. Barry Larkin specifies that no any sportsman should be punished, if his guilt has not been proven. He is claimed to be innocent until it will be obvious that he has actually applied anabolic steroids and/or other related drugs.
Barry Larkin also participates in teaching young athletes about risks linked with application of anabolic steroids. He has formed a charity foundation which has been called after his name. So, the retired baseball player puts great efforts in order to make baseball clean. He convinces young sportspersons not to apply steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Barry Larkin desires to see baseball drug-free.

UFC president wants to see fight between Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre

The UFC president Dana White continues to note that the fight between Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre will occur. However Anderson Silva has noticed that he is not interested in the fight, the UFC president doesn’t cease to hope. Dana White notices that the fight between these individuals will occur before Anderson Silva ends his athletic career.
Anderson Silva will also fight against Jon Jones. But today Jon Jones trains in order to fight against Chael Sonnen. The fight is scheduled to occur in April this year.
Since Anderson Silva and St-Pierre don’t express any antipathy to each other, fans desire more eagerly to watch the fight between Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.
During interviews both Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre have said that they don’t want to face one another. Nonetheless, the UFC president makes it clear that he knows the situation better. He says that while Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre state that they don’t desire to face each other in the ring, it isn’t true. The UFC president notes that totally opposite words are pronounced behind the scenes. Furthermore, Anderson Silva never refuses fans’ proposals. The fighter always does what he should do.
Dana White praises Anderson Silva. He notes that this fighter possesses amazing abilities. Anderson Silva has showed his brilliant performance many times.
It is interesting to notice that Anderson Silva has defeated Stephan Bonnar who has applied steroids.
Talking about the fight against Anderson Silva, Stephan Bonnar noted that his opponent showed great skills. He specified that Anderson Silva defeated him completely. He felt as if he hadn’t won any fight. Thus, Stephan Bonnar lost the fight, despites of his administration of prohibited medications.
Dana White doesn’t discontinue expressing admire of Anderson Silva. The UFC president thinks that the fighter evaluates his abilities appropriately and he knows that he can win any match. That’s why Anderson Silva is ready to face any fighter anytime.

Contaminated injectable steroids caused serious problems in America

The fungal meningitis outbreak which started in September last year had substantial influence upon America. Contaminated injectable steroids were produced by the New England Compounding Center (based in Massachusetts) and given to numerous persons. As a result, more than 400 persons sickened with fungal meningitis in more than 20 states. 39 persons contaminated with this disease died. 14 deaths were in Tennessee.
It became evident that it was necessary to do something in order to prevent such cases. Contamination must not occur in future. The FDA had to meet with representatives of all states for discussion of this problem. Thus, recently a meeting took place in order to discuss ways related to prevention of contamination in the future.
It was noticed during the conference that new laws on compounding centers should be implemented.
Representatives of some states affirmed that they did suitable job in their states and no any person suffered from problems linked with contamination. Moreover, they specified critically that they didn’t know what happened in other states.
As for the FDA, its authority over such cases is limited. Federal court cases that were during past years reduced the authority of the FDA evidentially. Furthermore, several laws seem to be unclear.
Margaret Hamburg, the FDA Commissioner, proposed to improve the situation through the following modifications:
- to improve training of state regulators;
- to promote sharing information between the FDA and states;
- to escape from ambiguity in laws.

These items seem to be prudent. Such modifications must help to promote improving public health of Americans. Undoubtedly, if laws contain ambiguity, no any agreement will be reached. That’s why new rules should be introduced and existing laws should be modified.
The FDA hopes that state regulators will work together with it in order to prevent producing and shipping contaminated drugs.

You will always remember Lance Armstrong’s downfall

Another year has gone away. Thinking about 2012, what will you notice about sports? Which names will you pronounce? Will you note about great baseball players? Will you note about the ashamed American cyclist Lance Armstrong? Will you say about the Summer Olympics? Will you mention about concussions of football players? Will you say about suicides committed by several professional football players? What will you mention about Melky Cabrera?
Undoubtedly, everyone will remember the case linked with Lance Armstrong while speaking about sports of 2012. Each person will note about the role of steroids in cycling and in other sports. Any person will notice about potential side effects of anabolic steroids applied for enhancement of muscle mass and strength. Any individual interested in sports will remember what reporters have written about anabolic steroids, lying in sports and many methods of sportspeople to succeed in professional sports.
Thinking about sports of 2012, you will possibly note about the steroid era in baseball and integrity of this sport. You will also notice about dreadful deeds of Jerry Sandusky and his coaching career at Penn State.
But let guess what future generations will remember. What will historians comment one hundred years later? Will they focus on cases about James LeBron, Melky Cabrera and Jerry Sandusky? Will they remember concussions of professional football players? Although they will probably talk of these situations, the hottest debates will be connected with Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. This is a case which will be never forgotten. A lot of persons will remember achievements of Lance Armstrong in cycling and his further downfall. Of course, they will also notice about his foundation Livestrong and impact of his disgraced reputation upon the charity organization. They will remember that administration of steroids led Lance Armstrong to loss of Tour de France titles, distancing from Livestrong and certain other troubles. The legendary cyclist will be ever in the memory of the American society.

Great baseball players should be in Hall of Fame

Fans of baseball and many other individuals seem to be indignant by results of voting for the Hall of Fame. Some amazing players have not entered the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is quite naturally that you also ask why they have not been supported. Under guidelines of voting, those that have shown great baseball abilities and contributed to their teams evidentially should be elected. It goes without saying that such baseball players, as Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, Mark McGwire and some other individuals have displayed splendid skills and accomplishments while playing professionally. Why aren’t they elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Many voters state that they will never support those that have ever been related to anabolic steroids and/or other related products. Dopers must be sanctioned. Future generations should see that they will never actually have success in sports, if they administer performance-enhancing drugs.
What would you do, if you were a voter? Would you support steroid users?
In fact, voters never possess complete information about admitted and suspected dopers. You can’t prove that Roger Clemens has actually administered performance-enhancing drugs. A lot of individuals have suspicions but there is no any steroid evidence. How may voters refuse to support this baseball player? Are they sure that he has administered steroids and other prohibited remedies? –No, they aren’t. That’s why it is unfair to keep Roger Clemens out of the Baseball Hall of Fame only because of suspicions.
While several voters are ready to support suspected dopers, they state that they will never vote for an admitted consumer of steroids. However it seems to be fair, let analyze the situation better! Have steroids played any essential role in success of certain baseball player? For example, if even Roger Clemens has used doping products, it is possible to convince anyone that he has succeeded not because of steroid use. Great achievements of this brilliant baseball player have been demonstrated before his alleged usage of steroids. According to certain affirmations, Roger Clemens has taken steroids since 1998 and then in 2000 and 2001.  But the most amazing accomplishments have been done by him before 1998. So, no one can state that anabolic steroids have helped Roger Clemens to succeed in professional baseball. That’s why he should be elected for the Hall of Fame.
Furthermore, why are numerous persons inclined to demonize just consumers of steroids? Isn’t it the society that presses athletes to start applying steroids and other related products?

Baseball players: steroid users must be punished in baseball like in cycling

Some members of the Baseball Hall of Fame affirm that steroid users must never enter their club. They asssert that such baseball players, as Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens don’t deserve to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. They are very pleased that these persons didn’t get needed percentage of voting to be in the Hall of Fame. According to them, it is correct. They suggest that otherwise our children get confused. They will suppose that they are permitted to apply anabolic steroids and whatever they want and remain unpunished. Thus, it would be a bad example for future generations. Al Kaline, Goose Gossage and certain others who belong to the Baseball Hall of Fame have this opinion. They even note about cycling, as a good example to follow.
What happened actually in cycling? The well-known American cyclist was accused of taking forbidden preparations. As a result, he forfeited his 7 Tour de France titles and sentenced to life-time suspension.
So, several members of the Baseball Hall of Fame believe that cycling is a good example for baseball. Baseball players who are found guilty of doping should be banned from this sport totally. Record books must not contain information about success of those that have been caught taking forbidden medications. Those that have cheated should be punished appropriately.
Nevertheless, not every member of the Baseball Hall of Fame has this opinion. For example, Juan Marichal supports Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, etc. He claims that these baseball players should be in the Hall of Fame. These athletes are stars in baseball. No one could prove that they have actually applied doping products. Since there is no any proof, suspicions cost nothing.
Under rules related to voting for the Hall of Fame, baseball players that have great skills and those that have contributed to their teams essentially should be in the Hall of Fame.  Of course, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were great players. They made evident contributions to their teams. That’s why they should be in the Hall of Fame.

Manuel Marquez added muscles not because of steroids

Every fan noted that the body of the American boxer Juan Manuel Marquez had been altered essentially. What caused such essential changes in the athlete?
Since Juan Manuel Marquez is connected with the admitted steroid dealer Angel “Memo” Hernandez, a lot of individuals suppose that the boxer’s muscles have been enhanced because of anabolic steroids and/or other related products. Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been hired as a strength coach of Juan Manuel Marquez. This person was related to the BALCO scandal. As it was learnt, this man supplied many top sportspersons with anabolic steroids and other related medicines. He provided information about some sportspersons that acquired forbidden medicines from him.
Learning that Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been a steroid dealer, a lot of individuals suppose that he provides performance-enhancing drugs to Juan Manuel Marquez. Several suspicions and even accusations were expressed by Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer. Freddie Roach said that it would be excellent to subject the both fighters Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao to drug testing before the fight.
In fact, Freddie Roach’s suspicions were not based on any drug evidence. He focused just on enhanced muscles of Juan Manuel Marquez.
Later Freddie Roach said that he didn’t mean anything serious. He claimed that he was just joking.
Angel “Memo” Hernandez affirmed that he was not only a coach. Since he is a scientist, he knows a lot of things. He knows the best ways to acquire muscle mass and gain strength. Angel “Memo” Hernandez claims that he knows the methods to do it legally. No any illegal medication is included in his methods. But he doesn’t want to reveal his methods. The coach specifies that this is a secret.
When it comes to Juan Manuel Marquez, he said that he never administered any prohibited medication. He said that it was not drugs which caused the obvious changes in his physique. Furthermore, he added that weight was not the chief factor while fighting. According to the boxer, a fighter should have intelligence, speed and strength in order to have success.
Neither Juan Manuel Marquez, nor Manny Pacquiao was tested for banned substances before the match. Such tests are normally applied by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after matches.
