Death of a teenage that used steroids may promote introduction of new legislation related to import of steroids in Britain

The pathologist Georgina Howarth affirmed that the death of Mohammed Belkhair, a 19-year teenager, had been caused by administration of anabolic steroids. She explained that anabolic steroids had led to heart failure which had resulted in the death.
According to the pathologist Howarth, if this young guy had not used steroids, he would have lived today. She claimed that intake of steroids was the only reason of the death. The pathologist added that the death of this guy was a lesson for each person to be far from such medicines.
Mohammed Belkhair’s sister found him vomiting in his bedroom on May, 2011. The guy admitted that he had utilized steroids. He died at the same day. It was reported that steroids had been found in his system.
According to numerous articles, DHEA and Tamoxifen were 2 steroids that were found in the system of the boy. DHEA is sold overall in Britain and in the USA.
But in fact, the news is misleading. Tamoxifen doesn’t belong to anabolic steroids. This medication has been initially introduced in order to treat persons who have breast cancer. It has become popular among sportspersons and bodybuilders that apply steroids due to its capacity to prevent aromatization of other preparations.
It seems to be strange but nothing was noticed about arrest of Mohammed Belkhair. This condition might contribute in the death. This teenager was arrested on the night before his death by police officials. 4 types of anabolic steroids were found in his room. But the names of the steroids were not mentioned.
Although the police encounter and arrest occurred several hours before the death of this boy, the doctor Georgina Howarth didn’t investigate these conditions. Moreover, she didn’t present any explanation about this aspect. Police officers reported nothing as well.
Since it was noted that Mohammed Belkhair had purchased steroids online, the news linked with risks of getting steroids online were spread in the country. So, it turned out to be convenient for changing the laws in order to make ordering of steroids per internet criminal in Britain. The British government intends to make personal import of steroids per mail and per internet illegal. It will be in near future. However it is said that these amendments will be enacted before the Olympics, they are not still enacted.
